My hot pink Ipsy package has finally arrived! I’m not sure if it’s because I live on the East Coast or just the shipping method they use, but I’m always one of the last few to get their Ipsy Glambag each month.
Their theme this month was The Art of Beauty, giving you items you can be creative with. I was able to check my Glamroom online about a week or so ago, and interestingly enough, one of my items changed. Instead of getting a mineral powder, I instead received a yummy smelling hand cream (no complaints there).
As usual, their information card listed all the possible brands included along with their ongoing promo codes! It’s great if you really like a product, because then you can re-order them and similar products at a reduced rate.
I am loving the bag this month! It says “Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art.” It’s just very clever and unique, and different from past Ipsy Glambags. Now onto the items!
This product was actually quite unexpected. I was originally listed to be getting the Bella Terra Mineral Shimmers, a product that be used as eyeshadow, shimmer or blush. However, they must have changed it up after I viewed it, and instead sent me a be Delectable Nourishing Handcream in Coconut & Cream. It smells great, and is the perfect size to toss into my purse, so I will definitely be using it.
Ironically enough, this was the exact shade I had my fingers crossed for, AND it matches my bedding! I’ve received a few different color and style Zoya Nail Polish products recently and have been happy with the quality and now am even happier with this Fall Satin Collection color called Mason.
Now this product is not only high quality, but also in a great color! I’m not a fan of lip glosses, however I like this Dolly-tinted Buxom Gloss and will be sure to use it. Products like these make me think highly of Ipsy, as it’s probably worth more than the $10 we pay per month.
Next up is Big Sexy Hair Blow Dry Volumizing Gel, which I’ve actually used many times. I like the entire line of products, and they give you great, temporary volume for the night. I would recommend using this and their aerosol hairspray to get big, volume-packed hair.
While I would have preferred one of the Ole Hendrickson products, I will give this H20+ Hydrating Moisturizer a chance. I’m a bit skeptical changing my moisturizer, especially as I use one to balance skin (fend off oil/pimples and hydrate at the same time) and so this product is a so-so for me.
All in all, I was really happy with my October Ipsy Glambag! I know I will use all of the products, which is definitely a thumbs up, and I’m most excited about the be Delectable Hand Cream (mmm sweet creamy coconut) and the Buxom Dolly Lip Gloss! A month like this makes me place Ipsy ahead of other subscription box competitors.
xo, Kenzie
You received a great box! I think I almost like your better than mine.
