BoxyCharm is a fairly new monthly beauty subscription – around for about 6 months, running at the same rate as GlossyBox, just $21 per month – which sends out 4-6 makeup, beauty skin and hair care products. Some are full-size, and some sample sized, some high-end and others drugstore brands, so you get to try out different types of products. When you order within the month of May, you get the May Box, and you are charged each month (I don’t see a 3, 6 or year-long sign up option yet) until you cancel.
Here’s a first look at the box and items included.. it was packed up to the brim in this little white and pink shipping box, with “Hello Charmer” printed for when you open it up. The box was actually much smaller than I was expecting, however everything arrived as expected and in good condition.
I really like that they included an information card with background information about the products, brands, and so on… This month’s theme was Mother’s Day!
First up, we have a Ferro Cosmetics Pink Kabuki Brush, which is an adorably bright pink, soft brush! I will definitely be using this for either foundation powder or blush.
Lauren B. Beauty Nail Polish Remover Pads – I received a Lauren B. Beauty Nail Polish in a previous GlossyBox and absolutely LOVED it! So, I was happy to see these nail polish removers, as they’re perfect for on-the-go.
I’ve used Novex deep conditioning products in the past, so I was happy to see these large Novex Samples of Argan & Olive Oil Brazilian Deep Conditioning Masks. They’re great for damaged hair (which will help with the sun, ocean and chlorine water this summer) and you leave it on for around 30 minutes (more or less depending if you use heat) and rinse out. If it’s too heavy for your hair, it can serve as two doses of conditioning for split ends.
Illume Lavish Hand Crème in Thai Lily is a combination of lily with exotic citrus notes like mango, blood orange, and white nectarine. I’ve gotten Illume Candles in the past but never used their lotions, and have to admit that it smells as good as the candles do! Plus, their packaging is AMAZING.
Mirabella Beauty Pretty & Provocative Lipstick was the real selling point for me… an amazing brand and high-quality lipstick? Yes please! Plus, they sent me the color Tantrum, a bold hot pink, which was one that I wanted!
Overall, this was an amazing BoxyCharm Box and I was so lucky to have such a great experience as my first monthly box for this company. My favorite item was hands down the Mirabella Lipstick, but I will totally be using everything in the box.

I can’t wait for next month’s box…
