So, as many of you know, Ipsy was my one true love subscription bag! And so, I apologize for it taking so long to get the July review up. I was super excited when my hot pink shipping bag arrived, as I had an idea of some of the items offered this month, but wasn’t sure which I would be getting.

Unfortunately, I had a bit of an explosion while my bag was in the mail, and so I received all of my products covered in the Coola tinted moisturizer I received. Luckily, Ipsy has a great service department, and so I sent my pictures and the problem into IpsyCare and they were very sweet and convenient about sending me a new tinted moisturizer.

So, I cleaned off my awesome see-through hot pink plastic makeup bag and products, got my new moisturizer approximately a week later, and got around to taking these pictures to show you everything!

First off, we have the Beach Beauty theme card, as Ipsy sends a new theme card each month with the discount codes on the back.

The first item is Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray. I was so happy to get this item (rather than the Big Sexy Hair) just because I already had a few of those products, and because this one was more focused on the beach and perfect for summer waves. To use it, I wash and condition my hair, dry it off just enough, put a dab of leave-in conditioner in the ends, and then spray it all over my hair. Then, I put a simple, neat braid in and spritz a little more onto the braid and let it sit for either an hour, or sleep with it overnight. When I wake up and unbraid it, my hair is in perfect, smooth beachy waves!

The next item is a nail polish by Nailtini in a great coral color called Mai Tai. I used to always stray away from anything orange, but lately I have been loving salmon and coral shades. I have received Nailtini in a prior Ipsy bag, as well as another subscription box in the past. While it is no Essie or OPI, it is pretty good quality and goes on smoothly and lasts fairly long.

Now we have the POP Beauty Pouty Lip Crayon in a bubble-gum pink color. Luckily I love rocking reds and pinks, but this definitely is not for the wallflower girl. It is a mix of a lipstick and lip gloss, with long staying power but doesn’t get flaky or dry.

This awesome tri-shade compact is the BH Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadow. It comes in the following shades: Hollywood, a dark purple-ish shade, San Francisco- a toasted light brown, and Malibu, an eye-popping gold. I wouldn’t necessarily use them together, but rather I can imagine blending Hollywood with a black powder for a smokey eye, or using San Francisco with some bronzer to give my face an all-around summer glow.

Finally, is the Coola Mineral Face SPF 20 Rose Essence Tinted Moisturizer, which was the item that originally exploded/leaked all over my bag. I am really happy that they replaced it (as the tube as half-empty) because it really is a great product. It’s the perfect shade for my skin, and has a nice, not-overwhelming smell to it.

What I did not receive in this month’s Ipsy was: Benefit Benetint, Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub, Coola unscented/non-colored Moisturizer, Demeter Salt Air Perfume. Big Sexy Hair Weather Proof Humidity Spray.

The only one that I’m really disappointed I did not get is the Benetint, as they were promoting it all month and it is a great quality (and fairly expensive) product. I hope that they vary each month, and those that did not get the Benetint will get an item like their upcoming Urban Decay Lipstick. The Microdermabrasion Scrub also sounded cool, as I often use many facial scrubs and balancing creams, however I’m not too heartbroken over missing out on the other items.

I have my fingers crossed for a Michael Todd Pumpkin Mask and Urban Decay Lipstick!
