Degustabox is a monthly subscription box that brings your favorite food and snacks. If you looked at last months review for the “June/July Welcome Box,” you’ll remember the variety of cool snacks, sauces and drinks that were sent out.
This subscription costs $19.99 per month for a heavy box filled with 10-15 snacks and ingredients!
While some people really enjoy aloe juice for the flavor, this Alo Allure Pulp Free Drink is mostly popular for health reasons. This drink is rich in antioxidants, which helps to protect skin cells against free radicals and pollutants and is also an anti-inflammatory. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the flavor, but I’m always open to trying new things.
I’ll be honest; I love sour cream and onion chips and I also love cheddar cheese chips, so these POPChips Ridges Cheddar & Sour Cream was the perfect combination for me.
I was recently at the store browsing the condiment aisle, looking at all the new chipotle, sriracha, and Cajun-spiced sauces, interested in trying them but not sure if I wanted to buy one without knowing what it tasted like. Luckily, we received a jar of Sir Kensington Chipotle Mayonnaise, which I could totally see myself using in either a spicy potato salad, as a base in a dip or sauce, or simply to jazz up a sandwich.
I used to love slim jims and I’ve recently moved onto craft beef jerky, so these Vermont Smoke & Cure Mini Meat Sticks caught my eye. I would definitely see myself snacking on them for on-the-go, or combining with cheese, nuts and crackers for a more complex snack. That is, if K doesn’t eat them first…
I have a mixed relationship with Goetze’s Cow Tales because they feel so old school and basic to me, but once you eat one, you can’t stop eating them. If you’ve never had them before, they’re simply a chewy caramel wrapped around a creamy center.
These Goya Maria Cookies are simple butter cookies that are meant for enjoying with coffee/tea or using in a recipe. Personally, I think they’re somewhat bland to eat plain, but could see myself grinding them up to create a graham-cracker type pie crust, dipping in chocolate, or using as a basic biscuit to pile on some toppings.
I buy Honey Bunches of Oats regularly, so I was happy to see this box of Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries. It isn’t too innovative or crazy but will definitely be consumed because its delicious!
While I’ve received snacks, sauces and drinks, I was quite intrigued to receive this big bag of WhiteLily Enriched All Purpose Wheat Flour and White Grape Seed Flour Blend. It’s a non-gmo wheat and white grape seed flour blend sourced right here in the USA. It’s recommended mostly for baking such as breads, biscuits, pie crusts, cookies and cakes. I’ll definitely be looking up some recipes (along with the cheddar cheese cracker recipe supplied to us) to try this out!
Finally we have the last few items…
I enjoy drinking tea and coffee regularly, so it was nice to see a box of Oregon Chai Tea Latte powdered mix, to add some oomph to my day-to-day routine. It doesn’t necessarily replace getting a Chai Latte from a craft coffee shop, but is perfect for making at home or at work since you just need to add hot water.
If you like Ferrero Rocher chocolates, you will love these original Loacker Rose of the Dolomite Chocolates! The combination of cream, crunchy hazelnut pieces and chocolate are decadent and comforting.
I was really excited by the weight of this box when I first received it, as well as when I opened it up and was able to see all of the items inside. My favorite items in this months Degustabox have to be the Vermont Smoke & Cure Mini Meat Sticks and the Sir Kensington Chipotle Mayonnaise, but I was happy to see the variety of items inside including the chocolates, chips, cereal, chai latte mix and flour blend.
