Nourish Snacks is a brand new snack/food subscription box founded by Joy Bauer from NBC’s Today Show! Nourish Snacks has a larger variety of snacks to choose from, all made with calorie count in mind + simple and healthy ingredients that are GMO-free and also free of artificial flavors, colors, and other harmful ingredients.
For $12.50 per week, Nourish Snacks will send out a box containing 5 individually portioned snacks from seasoned nuts to dried berries and more.
They generously sent me a box to test out containing 5 of their top picks/favorite snacks and I have to admit, I was impressed. Here’s the first look at the box + information/snack booklet.
Now, onto the good stuff…
Cinn-sational is a 170 calorie mix, also with a fair amount of protein and fiber, made up of cinnamon-spiced dried apple pieces and almonds. This one was a bit too cinnamon-y for me, but definitely tasty. I would love to try a mix that has both sweet and spicy, like a Chipotle Honey or Chili Cinnamon.
King Korn is a low 150 calorie pack with a bit of protein and good amount of fiber, made simply of crunchy corn nuts. I would have loved even more if they had a spicy or BBQ kick to them, but have to admit they were delicious as is.
Coconuts for You is also a low 150 calorie snack with a lower amount of protein and fiber, but contains chia, oat and other healthy ingredients. This bag of Toasted Coconut Chia Oat Clusters was not my favorite because it seemed kinda crushed/like sprinkling flax or fine granola but I could see coconut lovers enjoying it.
Posh’stachios is a 160 calorie high protein, fair fiber snack that I could not put down! I love pistachios from the get-go, and would totally get these again because they have an herby-peppery taste.
Almonds to Cherries is a 200 calorie mix of roasted almonds and dried tart cherries with a decent amount of protein and fiber to them. I snacked on them as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up snack at work!
This box was delicious! It reminds me of a mix of Graze and NatureBox, like if the two combined and had a baby, it would be Nourish Snacks! Even though I probably would not get the Coconuts for You again, I loved the Posh’tacios and King Korn! I really enjoyed the variety of snacks too: some spiced, some nut mixes, some with dried fruit, etc, and all conscious of ingredients, calories, protein and fiber. In the future, I would love to try the following mixes: Pistachi…OMG, Holy Habanero, Figgin’ Fabulous and Chili’n in the Corn’r. At $12.50 per week, I think it balances up well against purchasing chips and trail mixes, and would be perfect for travelling, on-the-go, at work or post-workout.
