Bright Lights

Bright Lights
Sure, pastels are everywhere. And floral, that too! But, my favorite new and unique color trend this season happens to be neons! Not in the sense of wrapping glowsticks around your wrists, or wearing shirts that say EDM Life, but rather, taking one nice article of clothing, accessory or beauty product and using it to make an outfit POP!

For those digging the hippie boho styles, try out this beautiful Farfetch neon-floral strapless maxi dress, which can be paired with simple sandals, gold bangles and beachy waves. Or, if you’re going out for the night, try this bold lime green peplum top or a pair of Valentino studded bright yellow strappy heels. If you keep the rest of your outfit neutral, wearing  jeans, black, white, etc, this will be just the amount of color and boldness to get noticed.

Too much of a wallflower for that much color? Try an accessory, piece of jewelry or makeup color instead! These dangling multi-colored earrings are a great change to typical metal hoops or studs. Even these neon hairbands can be stored on your wrist in-between bracelets and bangles, or tied back in your hair to give a ponytail a kick! For the artistic types, this awesome neon nail art kit contains 5 colors to be used to paint on polka dots, stripes, splatters and more.. or just alternate each nail with a different color! Or, if you’re like me.. that means fuschia lipstick. I am no stranger to different lip colors, and a bright summer blue-based fuschia pink can be your best friend and perk up a minimal makeup look.

On the flip side, if you don’t want to wear any, maybe your home can use some sprucing up! I just loved this cute hot pink pineapple + this unique one-of-a-kind Lana Del Rey pop art painting. Even if they won’t match my home at all, I can at least adore them… right? 😉
