Every month, I anxiously await my Ipsy Glambag to arrive, as I know it’s packed with great beauty products at a ridiculously low price of $10 p/m. I’ve even got a few of my friends hooked on it, and awe always go back and forth about which products we want, and then trading products when the bags arrive. Check out this month’s spoiler post here.
So first up, we have the bag itself. This month’s theme was “Fresh Picks” and of course the bag went along with the theme, as it’s very springy and nature-based. It’s a cargo-like tan material with green leaves printed on it.
First up, we have Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub. In general, I love facial scrubs and cleansers, so that was the first perk, and secondly Derma E is a highly rated eco-friendly brand that uses mostly natural and organic ingredients! Major win-win.
Everyone received some sort of sunscreen in their Ipsy Glambags this month, and while I wasn’t overwhelmed about getting sunscreen (in general- I’m picky) this Coola-Created Hang Ten 50 SPF if a good travel size, so it will be nice to toss into my handbag or beachbag to try.
Next we have Pur-lisse Pur-Moist Moisturizer. I’ve actually used this brand and very similar products before, so I will definitely be able to use it but wasn’t super excited to see it.
Here we have a new brand (to me) and product called Hey Honey Take It Off Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask. Like mentioned above, I love trying new products like this and masks are on my list as well.
Finally, we have the Pacifica Dual Eyeshadow. This neutral-tone dual eyeshadow seemed like it would be a home run as I love the brand Pacifica for their lotions, scents and more, however it is very poorly pigmented and wears off quickly.
Here’s my entire May Ipsy Glambag! I wasn’t really loving this month, especially since it was mostly skincare products that I already had a lot of. Only the Derma E Microdermabrasion and Pacifica Dual Eyeshadow were “full-size,” and the Pacifica Eyeshadow was a bit of a let-down. I will definitely use the Honey Mask and Derma E Scrub, and can only hope next month will include more makeup products.
One perk about this month is that I was able to redeem points I have been saving up for the past year for some amazing beauty products! You get points for every item you review, share on Facebook and for friends you refer. So, I’ve been anxiously saving my points and when I saw these two products, I knew I had to get them.
Here’s a TokyoMilk Dark Lip Balm in #36 Salted Caramel. These cute little pods are perfect for tossing into a handbag, and are super hydrating and moisturizing and smell like fresh baked goods!
I recently tried a sample-sized BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie from a previous subscription box and totally loved it, so when I saw this full-size beautiful coral-melon color “Light it Up,” I went for it. It is definitely a bold, popping spring/summer shade and not for wallflowers. I think it looked good on me, but I could definitely see tan girls with dark hair totally pulling it off.

That Tokyo Milk lip balm sounds amazing! Does it smell as great as it sounds?
Yeah, I really like it! It’s a nice change from the typical fruity/berry/minty scents.
I agree with you about the Pacifica pigmentation. I got the other color combo with a purple and a light shimmery colour and it’s not great. That mask looks interesting, let me know if you like it! I’ve been looking for a new face mask. 🙂
I like the mask- I’m more of a fan of clay masks vs. peel off, but if you got this one at a good price, it would be worth it 🙂
Nice! I prefer clay as well. I had a fabric type one from beauty box five and it wasn’t bad but I definitely prefer clay. Lush makes great fresh ones too!
