Ooh lala, my Madame LadyBug Box has arrived! For those of you who don’t know what Madame LadyBug is, it’s a brand new ‘Time of the Month” Subscription Box Service. It’s meant to not only supply feminine products like pads and tampons, but also pamper and please you with an array of snacks, gifts and bonus items. Their tag line is “Madame Ladybug is created for women, by women. We are more than just a tampon delivery service. We are a catering service for women. It’s our goal to support, empower, and encourage women through their challenging and sometimes painful symptoms of PMS.”
Based in California, this new box service offers the choice between 3 different boxes, $18 Flo Control, $25 Pamper Me and $33 Ultimate Indulgence. Or, if you’re picky about what snacks and items you get, or are just not a fan of surprises, you can opt to do a BYOB (build-your-own-box), where each item is priced and it adds up to the amount you’d like to spend. There is an additional $5 shipping charge as well for US shipping, and luckily my canadian friends- there is shipping to Canada for $12 per box! I personally opted for the $25 Pamper Me, so I could try to give an accurate review (as it’s the middle option). If you click the links, you can compare the different boxes.
Here’s the first look upon opening the box! It was all sealed up well to ensure it would be damage-free, and let’s just say this box was PACKED to the brim.
I pushed the tissue paper aside to see the neatly arranged and filled packages, as well as the Information Brochure which included some background on the company, the theme of the box, and a list of all the included items.
This month is all about being thankful, and keeps within the ‘autumn’ theme colors of greens, reds and yellows, similar to leaves.
I have to admit- the most helpful thing on here was this list of included items! A couple had me a bit confused at first sight, but then I realized their uses. And let’s just say this is a LONG list with tons of exciting items.
So now.. onto the good stuff!
Here’s the first look at the array of items in the box. I arranged them so you could actually see how many little bags were included and how she packed them tightly and efficiently.
So, here’s a breakdown of all the personal, feminine products included! There is a monthly supply of tampons (you get to choose your fave brand), along with pads, panty liners, summers eve refreshing wipes, midol packets and then these clever scented disposable bags. It took me a bit to figure that last one out at first, but let’s just say you’ll be well stocked up for the month, and even more.
Now, onto the snacks! There’s a mix of salty and sweet, nutty and chocolatey, so whatever craving you have, it will be fulfilled. Personally, I’m a bit health conscious, so I think I’ll pass on the Lays and Pringles (I’m sure K or my dad will enjoy them) but I am loving the Kashi, Snackwells and Special K bar!
I decided to break it down a bit so you all can see the array of snacks! We have Lays Classic Potato Chips, Snackwells 100 Calorie Pack Chocolate Drizzled Caramel Popcorn and Mini Nilla Wafers.
These array were my favorites! We have Quaker Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies, Special K Pastry Crisps in Chocolatey Caramel, and Kashi Apple Cobbler Soft n’ Chewy Bar. Perfect for midday snacks when you need a pick-me-up, or late night snacks.
Here we have a Dove Classic Dark Chocolate Bar and a pack of Pringles Stix in Pizza Flavor. With a variety of snacks like these, you’ll forget about your cramps and enjoy all the delicious flavors.
Don’t forget the teas! As many of you know, drinking coffee can often upset your stomach and increase uneasy feelings during this time of the month, and so that is why tea is the perfect choice! I like the variety of brands and flavors such as Bigelows and Stash, in an array of flavors from Peppermint to Lemon Ginger to Peach!
Now, onto the gifts and bonus extras!
I received this cute, dark green tea light in a deep soothing scent. Now, I’ll just have to find a cute holder for it, so I can light it while I take a bath.
Also included was this beautiful, dainty silver necklace with a gem-filled masquerade pendant! I was actually surprised by how much I love this as I’m extremely picky when it comes to jewelry, especially pendants and dainty, thin chains.
Another pampering gift is this delicious smelling Blackberry Pear Body Mist. I’m also picky when it comes to fragrances and I actually really like this one. I think I’ll bring it into my office for when I need a refreshing spritz for myself or for my office space.
Phew, that was a long post! What do you all think of Madame LadyBug? Does it include what you expected: personal products, snacks, teas and gifts? In my opinion, it goes above and beyond in terms of quantity and the element of surprise.
