I am in Trail Mix/Snacking heaven! Peckish is this great company that offers a snacking subscription box every week, every other week, or every month, all based on your preference! The pricing of $14.99 (including tax and shipping!) stays the same per package regardless of how often you choose to order it. And they have a promotion going on right now, listed on their homepage www.Peckish.co where you can get your first box for $5 off! So you only have to pay $9.99 (if I find any other discount codes, I’ll be sure to let you all know)
Your subscription box is customized based on categories, which revolve around your preferences. If you are into eating healthy and staying fit, the Nutrition Box may be the way to go. Or if you prefer a box with chocolate and dried fruit mixes, you can opt for the Sweet Tooth. If you take a look at their website, you can see the 6 options to choose from, one being a “Surprise Me” box.
Personally, I went with the Energy Booster Box, which I assumed would have a mix of healthy, salty and sweet. Here’s what I got!
The box came all nicely wrapped and organized containing 3 bags of snack mixes! The first was “The Green Machine,” a green blend of pistachios, dried edamame, dried broccoli and a dash of salt. If you look at the nutritional facts on the bag or the card it came with (see below) they try to make everything as simple as possible: no gross, processed ingredients and unnecessary preservatives. The bag in the middle was my absolute favorite (too bad I left the bag at Kevin’s house and he ate the rest of it! …) It was called Tropical Island: a sweet mix of dried mango, pineapple slices and coconut shavings! The final bag, the Bunny Bag (such a cute name!) was a mixed of carrot, vegetable and potato chips, seasoned with salt. While the sweet one was my favorite, these all were enjoyable and didn’t make me feel guilty after consuming them.
Don’t forget the best part: they threw in something extra! I was not expecting anything else besides my 3 bags of snacks, so it was a sweet gesture that Peckish included a sample of their roasted almonds!
So the verdict is…. I will definitely be getting Peckish again, however I e-mailed to switch to the Sweet Box so I could get a nice combo of fruits and chocolates!
