Whether you’re catching up with an old friend or co-worker or looking for a spot to relax, drink a latte and read or get some work done, you want to look good and feel comfortable. For me, when in a public setting, comfort starts with a pair of broken in skinny jeans or leggings. With a good pair of jeans, you can mix and match tops, outerwear and shoes based on the weather and your mood. A white button down top always looks crisp, especially if you happen to be meeting someone in a professional setting. To keep it casual and trendy, I’d toss on a leather jacket, like this blush-beige jacket, which is much more inviting than a harsh black leather jacket. I’m a big accessory person- they can make or break an outfit. Personally, I would bring a neutral purse with a few key items: a cute wallet, keychain with my keys, money and a notebook! You never know when you may need to jot down some notes, a phone number, a reminder for later, etc. If you’re doing work, a laptop or ipad alongside the notebook is a definite, and don’t forget some headphones to block out other cafe customers.
