Early on in my beauty subscription box days, I received some samples of Harvey Prince perfumes, a brand and name new to me at the time. Flash-forward to a few years later, and I now know the brand well, especially now that they’ve released a fragrance-focused subscription box called “The Story of Perfume”.
This subscription box takes away the stress of finding new fragrances by sending them right to your doorstep! Each $22 box ($30+ value) contains 7ml rollerballs in all different unique scents from their fragrance lines, plus additional varying beauty products, such as lotion and bodywash, PLUS 2ml perfume samples too. Best of all, Harvey Prince products are all eco-conscious, 100% cruelty free, gluten-free and vegan!
Now, onto the details! The package arrived in a simple, yet eye-catching, metallic silver package (don’t mind the wording on it). Inside the shipping package was the actual subscription box, a nice, clean white box with embossing on it.
Once you lift the lid, your senses are awoken from the perfumes inside, as well as the unique and fun tissue paper. This month (February box), my rollerball samples included Mysore Sandalwood and Kashmiri Saffron. Mysore Sandalwood is an earthy (almost beachy?) fragrance, with notes of cardamom, cumin, sage, rose, musk and sandalwood. It’s a little sweet and a little spicy at the same time. It definitely caught my attention. The Kashmiri Saffron rollerball was a combination of rose, jasmine, lily, saffron, patchouli, sandalwood and musk, and definitely more up my alley with its strong, enchanting smell. I like that these are rollerballs, because it reduces the chances of spillage, rolls on easily and is a great size for travel.
The samples included Sincerely, a unique floral fragrance with notes of freesia, rose, bergamot and clove, and Eau So Divine, a sweet and light fragrance with notes of lily, jasmine, pink grapefruit, lemon, patchouli and vanilla. Eau So Divine was definitely my favorite. These are perfect for just trying a new fragrance, or tossing into a purse for a quick midday fragrance pick-me-up.
The last items included were a Sincerely-scented body cream and Keravegan Replenishing & Hydrating Hair Mask. While the body cream relates to the fragrance, the hair mask is made of argan, coconut and sweet almond oils, along with shea butter, papaya, lemon and mandarin extracts.
While this may not be a great subscription box for someone with allergies to certain scents or who has picky taste, this is perfect for an adventurer who wants to discover a new fragrance, whether to replace their current perfume, or to spice things up.
For the price, you really can’t go wrong. Best of all, for a limited time, you can get either of these mini rollers from the February Box for FREE on their website using the code ESCAPE2INDIA. All you have to do is pay shipping!
