Whether you either just realized you’re going to your going to someone else’s house for Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and didn’t buy that person a present, or you bought all your gifts.. except for your wine-loving roommate or best friend and need a gift, FAST!, I have a great array of hostess and vino-themed gifts, starting at only $5 that everyone will love!
Sure, you could just bring a bottle of wine or some desserts, but why not make a little extra effort? If you’re buying for someone who you don’t know much about, pick up a bottle of wine in the $20-30 range ($10 can taste a little cheap, and trust me, you don’t taste the difference between most $40 and $20 bottles). Most liquor and wine stores offer free gift wrapping with silver cellophane wrap and an array of ribbons, so you might as well take them up on it. If yours doesn’t, or to add some extra pizazz, add some holiday garland around the neck of the bottle, a cute santa-costume or ugly sweater wine bottle topper, or bypass the need for a bag to carry it in, and opt for a burlap Noel bag.
For the hostess who already has a huge wine collection, get her a cute holiday accessory! I am loving these gold and silver reindeer wine stoppers to plug open bottles (not like we’ll have any on Christmas Eve, hah!) , as well as these holiday wine stem charms. Never mix up a glass by using a set of charms! Add some Christmas cheer by using holiday wine glasses decorated with snowmen, santa, snowflakes and more. Plus, they come with stems or stemless!
For the wino who also likes to cook, or at least pretend, check out this adorable cooking with wine humor mug! If you or your gift recipient like to have cheese and crackers with your wine or find yourself often entertaining guests, opt for this cheese board with spreaders, or a deluxe picnic basket set for a boozy brunch on the go!
For someone who loves new home decor and sprucing the place up, try one of these wine wall-decoration items! I love this bottle-shaped wall chalkboard, where you can write a grocery list, note, or cute messages, as well as this custom “It’s Wine-o-Clock” sign which can be customized with the gift recipients last name.
If they love wine or love to be the hostess with parties talked about for days, they will definitely love one of these holiday-themed gifts!
This has some great gift ideas, not just for the holidays, but for anytime I visit a friends house!
