Vibrant Watercolors & Pink Blush Giveaway!

Pillars
For quite a while, I’ve been wanting to do some personal styling and photo shoots, and I finally got the opportunity to! With the help of my friend Jamie who took all these amazing pictures (visit her blog at jailavie.com), as well as a beautiful piece of clothing AND A GIVEAWAY by PinkBlush, I’m able to share with you one of my new favorite outfits… and color combinations!

I’d been waiting for quite the perfect opportunity to wear this unique vibrant blueish-mint green patterned dress with beautiful watercolor fuchsia and coral flowers all over it. Going in, you know this is not a design for a wallflower, but rather someone looking to grab attention. And of course, a flawless dress needs only the best accessories.

Contrasting with the base color of the dress, but matching with the splashes of coral in the pattern, I chose a chunky necklace with an ombre coral design and gold plating. While some may believe a small, delicate necklace would better suit the neckline, I liked the idea of throwing fire to the wind and testing the limits. See a similar necklace design here!

To go along with the pink pattern on the dress, plus give an extra pop of color, I opted for a manicure in a beautiful bold pink shade called Essie Madison Ave-hue.  I keep it pretty simple when it comes to bracelets: wearing a Lily and Laura white-gold beaded nepali bracelet, Express chunky gold chain-link bracelet and a cute David Yurman-style bangle I picked up at a shop in NYC. Rings are all my own, and years old! Additionally, to keep with the theme, I picked a Kate Spade Molly Envelope Clutch in hot pink (sold out, see similar styles here). It’s just big enough to hold the necessities: your smartphone, money, and of course, a great lipstick.

Speaking of lipstick, my beauty look for this shoot was simple overall, and I chose to focus on a subtle cat eye using Mica Beauty Felt Lip Eyeliner, along with the bold coral shade of BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Light It Up. I definitely recommend this color as a Spring/Summer option, regardless of whether you’re blonde or brunette!

I think one of my favorite aspects about this PinkBlush Mint Green Floral Print Textured Dress is the fit and flow. It’s perfectly fitted from the shoulders to the chest and all the way down to the waist, and then flares out just enough that you need to be careful in the wind or when walking above subways.

The shoes are a new favorite of mine as well! These City Classified Suite Salmon Ankle Strap Heels  from Lulu’s are a new addition to my collection. They are low enough to be comfortable, but have the perfect details to make a beautiful strappy heel!

And, I had to throw this picture in… just for kicks!
