Birchbox ~ April

image

My Birchbox arrived last week and I barely got around to taking pictures of it as I began to use the products immediately!

The theme was “April 2014: Rainy Days” as in the old phrase “April showers bring May flowers…”

First up we have a KIND Healthy Grains Maple Pumpkin Seed Bar. Unfortunately, I’m not a pumpkin-seed fan and KIND bars are often too hard for my liking (usually chewy nut blends held together by honey) so I’ll be giving this to K.

Next we have an Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Gel. I’ve actually received this product and a similar one from my Blush Mystery Box, and the brand is high-end and top-quality, however I only use it every now and then since I usually use Benefit Gimme Brow.

I am LOVING this ArtClub Nail Art White Polish Pen! You can unscrew the bottle like a typical nail polish bottle and apply it all over, or the top part pulls off and turns into a pen where you can create designs like polka dots, stripes and zigzags. I’ve already used it twice in a week!

Next up is a travel sample Number 4 Reconstructing Mask and Shampoo. I’m usually pretty picky with my shampoo and conditioner, but gave this one a chance and would consider using it again. The only downside is that it’s pretty pricy.

The final item is a BijaBody Daily Serum. I love serums and facial oils, and this one made me feel smooth and refreshed. Would definitely recommend!

All in all, this months Birchbox has more hits than misses, so it gets a thumbs up. I loved the nail polish pen most of all, then the facial serum and finally, the hair mask. Personally, I’m picky with shampoo/conditioner, so those samples don’t appeal to me as much, and I’m not a fan of pumpkin seeds so I gave away my KIND bar.
