GlossyBox ~ January

Hey all! So I finally got my January GlossyBox (they seemed to be delayed sending to the east coast this month, possibly because of the snow storms), but I was still excited! They had released some spoilers earlier in the month, and I couldn’t wait to see the rest of the items.

This month’s theme was “Welcome to 2014″ and contained a variety of skin, hair and beauty products. And as usual, the information card listed details on all the products included!

Now let’s check them all out!

Here’s the breakdown of all the items:

I was really excited to see the Beautyblender Product + Cleanser – This was the decision maker when spoilers were released as it’s an exciting, innovative and pricey item! This blender is supposed to flawlessly blend your foundation in, and comes with a cleanser as well so you can re-use it many times.

Next we have Toni & Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray – I have heard great things about the brand and always wanted to try it, however I don’t think January is an appropriate month to be getting a sea salt wave spray. I got a TON of these over the summer and are still using them. I would love to see other Toni & Guy products, however, like leave-in-conditioner, mousse, hairspray, heat protection, etc.

Here is the Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Cream, which was also one of the advertised/spoiler items. While I don’t really need any more moisturizers, this one is great for winter, especially if you have dry or cracked skin and it’s supposed to lock in moisture for 48 hours.

bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush is a more natural/organic product, and I believe I’ve gotten eyeshadows by this brand before. This one in particular is a loose powder, which limits its ‘travel-ability’ but the color looks nice- actually a universally flattering shade!

Finally, we have Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash, which is different from other scents and types of body wash. We received products from this brand previously (lip gloss) and I’ve seen it in other boxes so I definitely wanted to try it out. Plus, it’s supposed to help firm and tone up your skin. Instead of being fruity, it’s a unique blend of juniper, bergamot, geranium and lavender.

All in all, this was a pretty good month! I was most excited for the BeautyBlender and BellaPierre Blush! What about you?
