For some reason, I’m ALWAYS on the late receiving end of getting my Ipsy Glambag, and while many of you may have already seen a few reviews, I hope you’ll continue to read through!
The bold pink package arrived, and even though I knew what was inside, I eagerly dove in and pulled out this cute multi-colored blue makeup bag full of my products! This bag is really cute: I’m loving the two-tone blue and the product lineup, almost like a city skyline… however, it smells like plastic and so that was a turnoff.
I pulled all the products out and began to check and test them out! I could instantly tell a favorite or two, and knew I had lucked out on a pretty good selection.
First, we have (Malin + Goetz) Mojito Lip Balm! This smells delicious without being overwhelming and serves as a nice alternative to a Chapstick or Carmex. It’s bag-friendly in terms of the size, and I’ve heard great things about the brand.
Next we have Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow in Penny, a coppery bronze color. I actually had my fingers crossed for this item, and loved all 3 shades that it came in, as it works as both a smooth eyeliner and blend-able eyeshadow. I’ve also tested out the Elizabeth Mott Mascara and Eyelash Card in the past, and while it seems to be a new and small brand, I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far.
This was almost a throwback for me, as I remember when Proactiv was all the rage with my friends who had teenage acne-ridden skin. I’ve always been pretty lucky (knock on wood) and only get blemishes once in a while and never suffered from acne, however these new Proactiv Mark Fading Pads say they work well at brightening and exfoliating skin, so I can use them for that.
I’d say I’m least excited for this Skiin Soothing & Smoothing Eye Cream, just because I have a lot of wrinkle/eye/fine line products and am barely getting through 1/4 of them. I’ve heard good things about the brand, so I will eventually give it a try, but I would prefer more beauty and haircare products.
I absolutely love the brand Healthy Sexy Hair and so I was instantly happy to see this Soy Tri-Wheat Leave-In Conditioner Spray! I’ve used their beachy waves products in the past (along with their sister brand Big Sexy Hair) and only have good things to say. Plus, my dead ends could use some loving.
All in all, this wasn’t my favorite Ipsy Glambag month, but compared to some of the other options, I did score some great products like the Elizabeth Mott Eye Pencil, Healthy Sexy Hair Leave in Spray and Malin + Goetz Lip Balm!
