My GlossyBox has arrived! I had seen quite a few spoilers this month, and so I was half excited, half not sure what to expect with the items. Some months GlossyBox is amazing, filled with brands like Benefit, Fresh and Tarte, and other months, it can fall flat and leave you hanging.
The theme is Holiday Romance, and as usual they included an information card with some details on the products. I’m not 100% sure how these fit in with the theme, but oh well!
The first item, which was released early, is an Emite Micronized Eyeshadow in Dams, a matte black shade. I’m a big fan of the smokey eye, and so I never tend to turn down a good black eyeshadow, eyeliner or mascara. I will definitely be using this, and thoughtfully enough, they included an eyeshadow brush too!
This Nicka K NY Professional Eyeshadow Brush is not expensive, but it feels like a good quality brush that I’ll find great use out of. In general, I tend to prefer smaller, portable accessories and tools, but I’ll find a way to use this.
One of the other ‘spoiler’ items is this Mastey Color Protecting Leave-in Oil Treatment. It’s a leave-in treatment for dry / damaged / color treated hair that’s supposed to help smooth and repair. This is apparently the full-size bottle (which surprised me, as it’s more of a travel-size) but perhaps you only need a little bit to make a difference
The Aloe Source Jojobu Cleansing Polish is a deluxe mini-sized bottle of facial wash, which seems good for on-the-go! This multi-tasking, sulfate-free cleanser can be used to remove makeup, oil and impurities… I only wish it was full-size!
The final item is a Jelly Pong Pong 2-in-1 Eyeliner/Eyeshadow Pencil in Plum. While I looooove black eyeliner, I do like changing it up once in a while and getting a colored pencil. This plum-colored eyeliner/eyeshadow duo seems like it will be handy in helping me create my smokey eye this season!
Other items you could have received in this months box include: Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Cream or Vincent Longo Eyeliner
All in all, I think they should rename the theme from Modern Romance to Midnight Musings or Smokey Seduction, well basically something else, because I got three items perfect for creating a nighttime sultry smokey eye (eyeshadow, eyeliner and brush!)
While this wasn’t my absolute favorite GlossyBox, I know that I’ll be able to put these products to use. What did you think about the November GlossyBox?
