I am seriously loving my UrthBoxes lately, and so I was so excited to dig into this one, I almost started eating it before I took pictures! Urthbox is a snack/food subscription box (see previous reviews here) somewhat customized to meet your dietary needs. They offer a classic, vegan, gluten-free or diet box, each in different sizes based on your household and budget. This review is for the Classic Box in either small or medium. When I signed up, I opted for a 3-month subscription and there was only one box size ranging between $19-$25 per box.
Here’s the first look! It was seriously packed to the brim…
Plus, of course, they included some informational cards telling you how to earn reward points, a $10 gift card (let me know if you’d like the code!) and a bit about this months box. I do wish they included a tad more info about the products.
First we have Newtree Orange Pearls! I’ve actually had these and other chocolate snacks from the brand Newtree and they are DELICIOUS. They are these orange candy pearls coated in belgain dark chocolate.. simply enough. Totally recommend.
Next up is Elianni Vegan Pâté in… zesty apple!? Some boxes/bloggers received other flavors, and I’m still raising my eyebrows as to how a pate can be fruit flavored. What do you dip in it!? Will it be sweet, or sour or some odd combination!? I think I need to get some vegan friends over to try it out first.
Next, we have Wai Lana Thai Curry & Lime… can you say yummy!? I love chips every now and then (I rarely eat them due to health/dietary reasons except tortilla chips and salsa/guac.. can’t give those up!) but these will definitely be an approved exception for me. Curry and lime are delicious on their own, and together it’s like a thai party in my mouth.
Here is a package of Hail Merry Macaroons,. I was (half) disappointed at first because I thought they were the French Macarons, but then decided, I’m open to trying some new coconutty cookies. These chocolate snacks are pretty tasty I have to admit!
I can’t enough of the brand Unreal. Seriously, they make the cleanest and most delicious dirty candy and chocolate. By that I mean they use healthier ingredients to make candy bars that taste like bad-for-you snickers, reeses, etc. So, these Unreal Chocolate Caramel Peanut Nougat Bars totally get two thumbs up. Please.. send more. 🙂
Zouq Curry Crunch Sweet & Sour Trail Mix is an interesting mix on your typical trail mix. It’s made mainly from chickpeas, lentils, peanuts, green peas, and spices, so it is a little sweet with a bit of a kick too.
Caveman Cookies are raw, vegan, gluten-free, the list goes on and on. I’ve tried Caveman Cookies before and I like them a decent amount, however they are very soft in texture and very sweet because of the honey used to keep them together.
Deeply Rooted Roots is a superfood powder! I was confused at first, thinking it was one of those emergen-c type packets, but it’s really a superfood supplement made up of Organic Spirulina Powder, Spinach Powder, Beet Root Powder, Acai Berry Powder, Pomegranate Juice Powder, Goji Berry Powder and much much more.. like 25 different ingredients!
Bach Rescue Pearls Natural Stress Relief capsules are all-natural, non-narcotic, and non-habit forming capsules that help relieve stress. I definitely need to keep one of these stashed in my work desk!
SunRype 100% Fruit Strips in Strawberry Watermelon sound totally delicious because I love fruit leathers, gummies, etc. The only downside is that this snack contains 11 grams of sugar because of all the fruit juice. I’ll definitely still eat them, but probably will purchase a healthier alternative.
I’ve had these Annie Chun’s Sesame Roasted Seaweed Snacks a ton of times before, and I’ll be sure to eat this pack soon too! They taste like a roasted/more flavorful cripsy version of the seaweed that comes in sushi. I love the wasabi flavored ones too, so spicy!
These were apparently “Bonus” Items. These Honey Graham Crackers (which are also gluten-free) are perfect for making s’mores, so that’s exactly what I did! One did break in each pack during shipping, but they still tasted yummy.
Finally, we have La Tortilla Factory Low Carb Wraps! I buy these and similar brands quite often so I was happy to see them. They are whole wheat, low calorie, low carb and totally delicious.
They included some freebie coupons as well, from $2 off Medjool Dates, to BOGO SunRype strips and a few other items! It was nice to see the extra effort.
What do you think about the April Classic UrthBox!? i’m totally loving it… My favorite items this month were the Curry Lime Chips, Unreal Candy Bars, Dark Chocolate Orange Pearls and La Tortilla Wraps!
