I’m always excited each month for my Ipsy Glambag to arrive, especially when I take a peek at my glamroom or the spoilers and love what I see…
The theme this month was very rock-and-roll meets a concert meets a festival, as each of the spoiler pictures had a related theme including a dj, microphone and more.
The bag was one of my favorites this month. This picture doesn’t do it justice, but this bag is a beautiful, bold purple with a white record player design imprinted on it.
First up, we have a St. Tropez Gradual Tan Plus Anti-Aging Multi-Action for Face. St. Tropez is an amazing tanning brand and I would definitely recommend their bronzing mousse, gels and lotions, so I have high hopes that this facial tanner will be just as amazing.
Next up is Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion. I love the brand Dr. Brandt and actually received a Primer/Pore reducer in my recent Birchbox so I am totally excited to start using this product.
Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes the Shadow is a brand new product for Elizabeth Mott. I’ve used Elizabeth Mott mascara and eyelash/mascara cards which help to keep your eyelids mascara-free, and so I can definitely see myself using this lightly shimmery beige eyeshadow.
Next we have Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil (Travel Size) which is a smooth silky black eyeliner, perfect or a smokey eye. It came in cute individual packaging, which tips for how to use it.
Here’s a close-up image of the eyeliner pencil which I can’t wait to use and know will become a staple in my beauty bag.
Finally, we have Cailyn Tinted Lip Balm, which is more of a lip color/lip stain than a balm. The light peachy pink color is applied with a built-in brush, and it’s pretty drying, so you need to add a coating of gloss or balm on top. I would have preferred if this was in a different color and if it was more smoothing, but can find a use for it.
All in all, I was extremely happy with my April Ipsy Glambag. I love all of the products, but wish I could have traded up the Cailyn Lip Balm for another item. I can definitely see myself using the purple and white dj-printed makeup bag and reordering some of the included items this month.

That looks like a pretty good box, but I agree, the Cailyn lip balm looks a little… meh. That’s a lot of packaging for something not very special.
