So, as many of you know, I’m a big bargain shopper. Every once in a while, I’ll splurge for something like a Philosophy Bath Gel, or a really awesome Bare Minerals Foundation Powder. But in general, I try to stay within my budget and get as many quality items as possible. So, once in a while ULTA has 40% off on Revlon, NYX and Almay products, and this time… I went for it!

I LOVE lipstick. If you talked to 16-year-old me, she would have told you that you’re crazy, and the smokey eye is the way to go, all day, everyday. However, as I went into college and then started changing up my style, interning, etc, I branched out and sampled many lipsticks, lip stains and glosses. I’ve found my calling with medium to bright pink, bold red and dark burgundy.

And so, I purchased these 3 lip products: 2 NYX round-case smooth lipsticks, in shades called Snow White and  Chaos, and 1 NYX soft matte lip cream in Amsterdam. All 3 are variations of red, but slightly different by their pigments and tones. Snow White, for example, is a darker, deeper red, whereas Chaos is a brighter, more pink-blended red. The matte lip cream, which is AMAZING, looks really bright in the tube, but once applied it’s just a simple, orangey-red bold lip.

Now, onto the face products! I was running out of my foundation powder, and so I had to buy more of that, and while I was at it, I stocked up on some concealer and BB cream too! I opted for Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in Light (as I tried medium and it was too dark/orangey for me). I used it this morning with a fluffy round brush and my skin looks flawless without looking too matte or powdery.

I tried out this Revlon Photo Ready BB Cream Skin Perfector SPF 30 in Light/Medium a few months ago, and really fell in love with it. I was going back and forth between BB creams and foundations of various brands, and this one really stuck out.

I also picked up an Almay Clear Complexion Concealer in Light/Medium, which has a formula containing salicylic acid to help heal blemishes while also hiding them.

Then, on a whim i opted to purchase the NYX Fabulous Eye Lash Extreme Measures falsies, which I will be planning to rock on Halloween!

Best of all, I got ALL of these products, plus a few freebies for $26! They threw in a few packets of shampoos, conditions and styling treatments by brands such as Fekkai, Biolage, and Bamboo, and I also had a $3.50 coupon off, as they offer many online, via e-mail and in their printed mailing magazines.
