The Fantasy Box ~ July 2013

image

Well, I’m just going to start off this post by saying this is a totally new type of box to me… and I was so excited to get it! However, seeing as The Fantasy Box does provide an array of ‘toys’ and ‘adult accessories’, this post may not be suitable for young audiences or to read at work, and does contain material that some may deem ‘inappropriate’. But my thoughts, personally on the matter, are if you don’t check out this company, you’re definitely missing out!

So, if you want to continue, here we go!

PLUS: I have a discount code at the bottom of my post!

Well, what exactly is The Fantasy Box? It’s a monthly subscription company that offers three different options in terms of pricing and items included! Their belief is that “Fact: EVERYONE has fantasies. It’s natural. Sometimes they are things from everyday life. Situations you wish you found yourself in. Sexy outfits, massages, visual, sensual, emotional. Your partner, no doubt, has secret fantasies and so do you. So you have 2 choices: Ignore it. Or fulfill it.” And The Fantasy Box does just that- it aims to fulfill any fantasies!

I recieved the classic $59 “Fantasy Box” which includes instructions and questionnaires, 4-6 high-quality products, great packaging, free shipping. However, if you’re feeling daring, you can opt for the $159 Platinum Fantasy Box  and includes 5-7 hand packed luxury products from the top international brands in every box, Personal concierge service for customizing the experiences to your preferences (eg. lingerie styles, colors, toy preferences, fantasy progression, etc…) & free shipping (let’s just say that after this experience, Kevin has his eye on the Platinum box)! Or, if you’re on a budget- The Fantasy Box has now come to the rescue and created an Essentials box for you! The $34 Essentials Fantasy Box is more affordable, yet still includes “his” and “hers” instructions, 3-5 quality products (some full size, some sample sizes) paired for each adventure, presented in a smaller beautiful pillowbox, and free shipping. Notice that all prices have free shipping, yay!

Now, onto the unpacking…

Discreet as can be, My Fantasy Box arrived in a simple brown box. No naughty names or pictures posted on it, so your neighbor/roommate/parents won’t have a clue! However, once I opened the brown box, I absolutely adored the packaging! You could tell that they thought out the designs: the little present box on top, the text all around the side of the box, and the colors- fuschia and black.

Once I popped the box open, I saw an instruction card right on top that quickly explained the steps to take: to plan an entire night to enjoying the experience of The Fantasy Box, starting with questionnaires at dinner to get to know one another better and begin to connect, and a set of rules for “Him” and for “Her”. After the questionnaires, you get to choose who will be the “Leader” and who will be the “Follower”, and from there, that is how all the products are distributed and how to make the most of the experience!

image

So to accurately follow the directions and get the whole experience, K and I ordered a delicious sushi dinner (seaweed salad, miso soup, speciality rolls with tuna, salmon and crab, yum!) and filled out the questionnaires for the “Him” and “Her” pamphlets. As we relaxed and ate dinner (oh, and cracked open a bottle of bordeaux wine I picked up in France) we finished filling out the cards. After, we relaxed on his bed and went back and forth over the questions: some which we already knew the answers to, and others making us laugh or revealing new ideas and thoughts.

Now, for the goodies…. Are you ready!?

image

On top of everything was a S&M Sex & Mischief black eye mask/hankerchief to cover the “Followers” eyes. Upon using, it was a nice-quality simple black eye mask that helped to go with the whole theme of fantasies and not knowing what’s going to happen next.

Next, a product which is similar to one I’ve used before, was a Massage Candle by DONA. It had a very light, simple smell (nothing too overpowering and burned pretty quickly into a massage oil/lotion. For this product, you light the candle and let it heat up for a while and then it has a double usage of a candle to set the mood in the room and a warm massage oil that you can pour and massage on your partner. While it did leave our hands with a slight residue, it was a great massage lotion/oil and you can tell it will last a while. The only downside was… we accidentally burned a hole in K’s blanket when he forgot it was sitting (lit) on the bed. Oops!

image

Well… if you couldn’t get what this one is, to be put simply is a ‘personal massager’ called Le Reve by the company PipeDream. It is an awesome bright fuschia pink and has 3 speeds. 😉

Ironically enough the name of this product matches my hot pink nails! Also included in this subscription box was a bottle of Hot Pink Warming Lubricant for play.

Then, I noticed this black tissue-paper wrapped product, which was in fact an all-black lace lingerie set! So regardless if you’re the leader or the follower (unless you like your men in lingerie), the lady gets a sexy outfit to wear. I would have taken a picture of myself in it…. but it was a bit inappropriate for the internet. This was different from the few reviews I had seen online (like 2 piece sets, a red lace set, etc) as it was a sheer black one-piece dress with built-on garters and stockings.

image

Oh, hey! They even included batteries!

So, without embarassing K too much, let’s just say we loved The Fantasy Box and I will be recommending it to a few of my friends. While you can technically use it with anyone, it’s really meant for couples and I now understand why. The questionnaires, the items, the whole concept helped us to learn more about one another and also have a super fun night!

Want to sign up but not sure about the price? Use my code SIS2013 for 15% off your first box- any of the three options!
